Have your say...?
Costs reduction priorities dictated by the Department for Transport require the Rail Delivery Group and operating companies to expedite the closure of ticket offices.
The consultation closed on July 26.
During 20+ minutes on Tuesday afternoon, before purchasing a ticket, I observed a succession of passengers expeditiously advised about complex journeys and fares before purchasing tickets while having tickets issued with convenient near-immediacy.
It may be that you are an infrequent rail traveller but rely on such a dedicated and readily identifiable member of staff; Customer convenience and service should be the bottom line.
