A WINCHESTER man has been fined for driving with defective tyres.
Pawel Michalewicz, of Elder Close, Badger Farm, was charged with driving a Honda Civic passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread – less than 1.6mm.
The 44-year-old was caught on Minden Way in Stanmore on April 28, 2022. He was also found to have driven the vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
On July 7, Magistrates at Basingstoke Magistrates Court fined him £60 for driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and £80 for driving a passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread, with costs of £100 and a victim surcharge of £34. He has to pay the fine within 28 days.
Four penalty points were also added to his driving record.
