WINCHESTER police had a busy weekend tackling drug related crimes, searching five people, arresting one and issuing a community resolution to another.
A 24-year-old male from Portsmouth, was given a community resolution for Possession of Class B drug, after Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) thought they saw him smoking cannabis on Sunday, July 23.
Shortly afterwards, officers driving around the city centre on patrol pulled over a vehicle "in suspicious circumstances", with all four occupants being searched.

The driver, a 42-year-old man from South Wonston, was drug wiped at the roadside in Tower Street and tested positive for cocaine.
The man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving at 6.12pm on Sunday, July 23 and has been released under investigation. No further action was taken against the three passengers.
Following the incidents, Winchester Police posted on Facebook: “The teams working in Winchester are determined to pursue those involved in drug-related crime and we will always look to take robust action against those individuals who choose to cause harm to our communities.”
