NATIONAL Highways has announced that upcoming work on the A34 will lead to overnight closures.
The work will begin on July 26 and last until approximately August 2 – it will consist of essential repairs and maintenance to the bridge joints where the A34 Winchester Bypass splits for the A33 Basingstoke Road.

Some resurfacing work will also be completed.
Due to the work, the A34 northbound will be closed overnight, from 9pm to 6am, between the M3 junction 9 roundabout and the A272 at Three Maids Hill. This includes working over the weekend.
Drivers will be diverted via M3 northbound towards Basingstoke and use junction 7 and A303 to Bullington Cross for the A34.
