A SOUTHAMPTON woman has been arrested on suspicion of handling goods stolen from Winchester.
Officers from Winchester Neighbourhoods team attended an address on Richmond Road, Freemantle, as part of their investigation into a burglary on Barfield Close, BarEnd, where garden machinery to the value of £8,000 was stolen overnight between June 26-27.
The 38-year-old woman was arrested by officers on July 11. She was subsequently de-arrested and interviewed voluntarily.
A quantity of tools was seized from the address.

A post on the Winchester Police Facebook page said: “Earlier this afternoon, officers from Winchester Neighbourhoods attended an address in Southampton for enquiries relating to a commercial burglary in the Winchester area.
“A person was arrested and interviewed in connection with our investigation. Whilst at the address, several items of suspected stolen landscaping equipment were seized.
“Once we have completed initial checks, we may post about any remaining items that we need to attribute to owners.”
A police spokesperson confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.
