A SPARSHOLT man has been fined nearly a thousand pounds for speeding in Devon.
John McKenna, 51, of Home Lane, was recorded by an automatic camera device driving his Volkswagen T-Sporter at a speed exceeding 30mph on Ashburton Road in Totnes. The exact speed was not stated on the court record.
Magistrates at Bodmin Magistrates Court fined him £642, with a victim surcharge of £256 and costs of £90 on July 4. The penalty of £988 is to be paid by August 1.
He also received five points on his licence.
