THE grounds of Winchester Cathedral were packed out with tasty treats as stallholders descended for a delicious food festival.
Winchester Food Festival took place on Sunday, July 9 in the cathedral’s Outer Close.
Residents enjoyed a wide variety of food and drink from producers in the Winchester district and the surrounding area.
Local top chefs demonstrated dishes using local ingredients including Damian Brown from the Chesil Rectory and Lenny Carr-Roberts, of The Bugle, The Fox, and Shoal. Lenny started his career at Le Gavroche, but he has also made television appearances alongside TV chef James Martin. Following Lenny, Paul Onami from Kyoto Kitchen took to the stage.
Munch CIC cooked alongside the local homeless charity Winchester Beacon. They focused on sustainable nutrition, healthy eating on a low budget and how to avoid food waste.
