AN EXCITING charity sporting event which included cycling, running and kayaking returned to Winchester.
Pedal Paddle Pace took place on Sunday, July 9 under the new management of Winchester Round Table, who ran the event alongside Winchester 41 Club and Winchester Ladies Circle.
It was first held in 2004 and was organised by a group of friends who went on to run it for 17 years.
However, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the group decided the step down in 2022, with the event not taking place.

The cycling leg was a 20km route that started outside the Guildhall before heading out to Easton, Itchen Abbas and Martyr Worthy and then circling back.
The 5km running route was along the River Itchen, going from Palmers Field to Hockley Viaduct and back.
The kayak leg was a 2km course on the Itchen Navigation in the grounds of Winchester College.
Profits from the event will be distributed to charities and good causes who have applied for funding.
