AN OUTDOOR cinema is returning to Hampshire this month for the second year in a row.
Cinema Under Canvas returns for a second year at Sunnyfields Farm near Southampton this July, to raise money for Naomi House & Jacksplace, local hospices for children and young adults.
Described as a perfect event for families, the outdoor cinema event features two family-friendly films, the beloved animated classic from Pixar, Finding Nemo and Matilda The Musical, an award-winning film based on Roald Dahl’s beloved novel.
Families can enjoy tasty refreshments from local vendors, fun games and a pop-up shop full of children's clothing and toys.
The charity will also share some of the creative and crafty activities they provide for the children and young adults who visit the hospices.
People who attended Cinema Under Canvas last year were asked what the best thing about the event was: "The causal cinema style, it was the first time I had taken my three-year-old twins to a cinema so if they got a bit restless we could move around without worry."
"Child-friendly and wheelchair accessible"
"The fact my three-year-old could walk freely around and dance to the music."
Gemma Rolfe, Fundraising Officer at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: "We are so excited to be back at Sunnyfields Farm for Cinema Under Canvas.
"It is such a fun day and we are thrilled that our Totton Charity Shop are supporting us with a pop-up shop to give the audience a chance to grab a bargain.
"We also love to share the different activities we deliver at the hospices with the local community."
Ticket prices include Adult(16+): £5, Child(4-15): £7.50 and Child(0-3): FREE. Book your tickets for the 29th July at naomihouse.org.uk/cinema23.
