AN EVENTS venue near Romsey hosted its best party yet, leading organisers to consider a winter version.
Kimbridge Barn held its second annual Summer Sundowner last month, transforming the space into an evening in Ibiza.
Nearly 350 people from Romsey and surrounding areas attended the high-energy festival of music and food, with a cocktail on arrival provided by main sponsor Wyrd Gin from the New Forest.

Manager Kris Anderson said: “It’s one of the best events we’ve ever held, it was absolutely incredible.
“People loved it and the response we’ve had was so good that we’re now going to hold a winter version. There’s just a huge demand in Romsey for a big party.”
“It’s a combination of incredible musicians and acts with great food in great surroundings. As organisers we start planning many months in advance and have lots of fun pulling together all our ideas to enhance the evening.
“We themed one of the indoor bars with a selection of Wyrd Gin inspired cocktails. The fizz bar, with a selection of champagnes and English sparkling wines was a big winner with the lovely summer's evening too.

“The chefs cooked up a selection of street food inspired Mexican tacos – nearly selling out the whole menu. The musicians included Arif on sax, Cordelectra on strings and drums and DJ Max too. We had dancing disco ball heads to get everyone in the dancing mood.”
Guests hailed the event as a triumph, surpassing last year’s sundowner. Due to the high demand, Kimbridge Barn is now planning a ‘winter warm up’ for November 18 with an Apres meets Kimbridge vibe.
