A PUB in Micheldever is re-opening under a new landlord after the previous owners were overwhelmed by challenges caused by Covid and the cost-of-living crisis.
Following a two-month closure, the Half Moon and Spread Eagle will open again this week.
Matt Etheridge, current landlord of The Cricketers Inn in Longparish, has taken over, launching a new Facebook page and advertising full and part-time positions for a front-of-house manager, chefs, kitchen staff, waitresses and waiters and bar staff with live-in options.

The pub’s future was uncertain when former owners Paula and Andy closed the venue with immediate effect on May 10 due to the “uncontrollable” cost-of-living but Mr Etheridge was quick to jump in with the re-opening announced just weeks later.
The Half Moon and Spread Eagle will be open from Wednesday, July 5 with full service running from Thursday and a formal launch starting at 6pm on Friday, July 7.
