A Hampshire choir will be performing in a concert, as part of the Romsey Festival.
The Romsey Male Voice Choir, will be performing in Romsey Abbey on July 15 with special guests The Orpheus Singers from Hadleigh near Southend on Sea in Essex, and flautist Anna Loadman.
They will be singing songs by the British composer Bob Chilcott as well as a medley by Lennon and McCartney. Anna Loadman will have solo performances in each half of the concert.
The concert, entitled Sound Waves, aims to raise much-needed funds for the RNLI, a cause close to the hearts of both choirs.

RMVC concert secretary Mike Bull said: “The late Owen Davis, a founder member of RMVC, was a great supporter of the RNLI and his passion was the prompt for the choir to make the RNLI its chosen charity on several occasions before going on to purchase and perform Away from the Roll of the Sea, a musical tribute both to Owen and the work of the RNLI.
“For the Orpheus Singers the charity they say is the perfect choice after their singers were given a special insight into the workings of the RNLI when they toured both shore and pierhead stations.
“RMVC is delighted to sing once more during the wonderful Romsey Festival and in our favourite venue, Romsey Abbey. We very much look forward to offering the Orpheus Singers together with Anna Loadman a warm Romsonian welcome and to taking the stage with these talented performers.”
