The Romsey Festival launches this weekend with more than 250 events planned over the next two weeks.
On Saturday July 1, two major events will open the festival.

In the evening, Romsey Choral Society with City of Southampton Orchestra open music events at Romsey Abbey.

Romsey Festival vice chairman Mark Edgerley said: “On our first Saturday we are pleased to present twenty separate events from quilts in the abbey, churchyard and nature trails, arts and craft in the Methodist Church, choice of events in King John’s House, town centre yarn bombing and not forgetting the intriguing Bicycle Alley to rear of Romsey Railway Station.
“The festival continues from July 1-16 offering around 250 separate events across numerous Romsey and district venues with many events are free to attend.
“To help guests find an event or activity of interest we have added a search facility on our website so you can search by event type, location or date. Details of each event includes a link to the box-office, some free events are ticketed to limit numbers. A downloadable programme of events is also available from our website.”
