A FAST food restaurant has been given a new food hygiene rating after previously receiving the lowest score.
KFC on Leigh Road in Eastleigh was handed a zero-out-of-five score in February after inspectors found that urgent improvement was needed.
But a more recent inspection has seen the restaurant awarded with a clean bill of health.
The fast food chain was given a new score of four following an inspection on June 22.
The new rating is available on the Food Standard Agency's website.

Hygienic food handling which includes the preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage of food was found to be "very good".
The cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building, such as having an appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities, and pest control, were also found to be "very good" during the inspection.
The management of food safety was branded "generally satisfactory".
This relates to systems or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in the future.
In March, a spokesperson from KFC said that the zero-out-of-five rating was "a shame", adding that "the restaurant team has been working really hard to get things back up to scratch".
