Organisers are celebrating after the first ever Wellbeing Fayre in the city was a success.

The event was held in the Cathedral grounds on Saturday, June 10 and it hoped to promote wellbeing across the city, enable access to wellbeing services, and facilitate networking between many of the city’s groups and organisations.

Organised by Sian Griffiths and Collette Ford, and supported by Bruce White from Community First, the fayre brought together around 25 organisations ranging from equine therapists to Incredible Edible (from WinACC), debt counselling to Sport in Mind.

Also on hand were organisations who can assist with giving up smoking, volunteers to help adults with their reading, help with grief and bereavement and music therapy.

The fayre was opened by the deputy mayor, Cllr Russell Gordon-Smith.

The organisers thanked all those who came with their stalls, those who attended and many others who volunteered their services in other ways, especially Anna O’Brien and the Winchester Radio team.
