MORE than 150 performers will come together for Winchester’s finale event for Refugee Week.
On Saturday, June 24 Winchester Cathedral will open its doors for a free ‘Sing for Sanctuary’ event.
The community concert has been months in the making, with the University of Winchester Music Centre joining Winchester City of Sanctuary for the closing event of Refugee Week (June 19-25).
Performers from groups such as Winchester Acapella, Encore Choirs and Winchester Festival Chorus alongside the junior choir from St Michael’s Church in Bassett, the Blue Apple Theatre Choir and members of the Ukrainian community will unite.
