ROMSEY Rugby Club has teamed up with a Wiltshire distillery to host an evening of gin, charcuterie and music.
The team will welcome Downton Distillery founder, Hugh Anderson, to their new clubhouse at Ganger Farm on Friday, July 7 to talk about his love of spirits and the ‘Explorer Gin’.
Tickets to the event include a neat drink of Explorer, a classic gin and tonic and a Southside cocktail.

Romsey Rugby Club’s in-house chef will be providing snacking charcuterie for all guests before a performance from Austyn Brown and his acoustic guitar to close the show. The full-service bar, run by the team from the Cocky Anchor pub in Romsey, will be open throughout the evening.
North Baddesley HR and recruitment company, Pure Human Resources, is sponsoring the event. Managing director, Stephanie Fosh, said: “As a local business, we are delighted to be able to support Romsey Rugby Club with this event. We are looking forward to hearing from Downton Distillery and sampling their product – a perfect way to spend a summer’s evening.”
Doors open at 5.30pm ahead of the talk and gin tasting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £40 per person and are available at events.romseyrugby.club.
