PARISH chiefs in Alresford are holding a community engagement day on Thursday June 29 from 11am to 5.30pm at the Swan Hotel on West Street.
The town council will welcome local people's views on the evolving Neighbourhood Plan.
The next Neighbourhood Plan meeting will be at Alresford Recreation Centre on July 7 from 6-7pm.
TICHBORNE House in Tichborne is holding an open garden day next month to raise money for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The gates will be open on Sunday July 2 between 1-5pm. Admission is £10.
THE annual exhibition by members of Alresford Art Society will held at the end of the month.
The venue is Alresford Community Centre on West Street on Thursday June 30, 10sm-5pm; Friday July 1, 10am-5pm; and Sunday July 2, 10am-4pm.
There is the opportunity to buy the work of local artists.
LOTS of vintage and veteran cars will be heading towards New Cheriton at the start of September.
The Hinton Arms Annual Vintage Car Show is on Sunday September 3 between 10am and 5pm.
A STEAM Rally will be held in Ropley on June 24-25 between 10am and 4pm.
It will be held off Charlwood Lane, Monkwood, SO24 0HA.
It is the tenth anniversary event with arena parades and games, watch Wild West shows, trade stalls, and food and drink outlets.
Organisers say that from prams right up to heavy haulage there really is something for everyone.
ITCHEN Stoke and Ovington Summer Fete will be held on Sunday July 2 between 2.30-5pm at Lovington House, Ovington, SO24 0RD.
Promised is traditional family fun including teas, games, stalls, pony rides and fly casting.
Entrance £3, under 16s free. Well-behaved dogs are allowed, on leads.
Proceeds will go towards the fabric fund of St Peter’s church, Ovington. Cash preferred, but cards are also welcome.
THE next artisan craft sale in Alresford will be on Saturday June 24 at the town community centre, from 10am to 4.30pm.
The regular antiques fair will be held in the same place on Saturday July 22 between 9am-4.30pm. For more information call 07970 797306.
Meanwhile the Alresford Farmers' Market is held on the first Saturday of the month at railway station car park.
THE garden of Bramdean House in Bramdean will be open as part of the National Garden Scheme on Sunday June 25, 11.30am-4pm and Sunday September 10, 1-3.30pm.
Tickets are £6, children free. Assistance dogs only. The five-acre garden is well-known for its mirror image herbaceous borders. Parking is across the A272 in the field opposite.
JULY will see the opportunity to see aspects of the heritage of Alresford.
On Sunday July 15 between noon and 4pm the museum on Broad Street and the 13th century Norman bridge at the bottom of Broad Street will both be open to the public.
On Sunday July 23 the Eel House on the River Alre will be open, between 11am and 5pm.
The 19th building that sits astride the river is one few remaining in this country. There will be information about eels and other reiver creatures.
