A WICKHAM fireplace business was left with significant damage after a car crashed into it.
All Time Grates, in Fareham Road, had significant damage to its showroom after the incident in the early hours of Saturday June 17.
The showroom has had to be boarded up, but owner Julie Hayward expects them to be open on Tuesday June 20.
Photos show the extent of the damage with shattered glass in the showroom and a brick wall destroyed.
In a message on social media, Julie said: “It was our business All Time Grates that was involved in the accident last night and to be honest with the damage to our showroom we are not sure how they walked, well ran away. Hopefully the police will catch up with them soon.

“The police and fire services were great with their immediate response and help in the temporary securing of the business.
“Thank you for all your thoughts, comments and support. It is much appreciated.
“We have worked really hard today to ensure that the showroom is safe, secure and able to welcome customers as normal next week.”
Julie added: “Had the skip not been changed on Thursday then it would have been full of brick rubble and I am sure the outcome of the accident would have been a lot different and if the police haven’t already caught up with the individuals involved then hopefully they will do the decent thing and give themselves up.
“We will be open on Tuesday as normal.”
A Hampshire police spokesman said: "We were called at 12.42am on Saturday June 17 to a report that a car had collided with a skip on Fareham Road which had been pushed into the front of a building as a result, damaging it in the process.
"Police attended but the occupants of the vehicle had left the scene.
"An investigation into this incident is underway."
