A MAINTENANCE manager from a Romsey care home has completed a skydive challenge to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
Peter Adams, who works at Woodley Grange Care Home, managed to raise £855 for Breast Cancer Now in support of his wife Donna, who recently beat the disease and was given the all clear last year.
Inspired by his wife’s journey and determined to contribute to the cause, Peter wanted to challenge himself to do something out of his comfort zone while making a difference at the same time. The skydive took place in Salisbury, with Peter soaring through the skies in the company of experienced skydivers from GoSkyDive.

Peter said: “I wanted to do something memorable to honour my wife's strength and celebrate her victory over breast cancer.
“The skydive allowed me to raise funds for a cause close to our hearts and demonstrate the importance of supporting those affected by breast cancer.”
Ahead of the skydive, Peter embarked on a fundraising campaign, rallying friends, family, colleagues, and members of the local community to join him in his mission.
The funds raised will be donated to Breast Cancer Now, a charity dedicated to providing vital support services to breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families.
Woodley Grange Care Home manager Liliana Macieira said: “We are so proud of Peter’s determination and selflessness. He has raised funds and awareness for such an important cause and we are privileged to have such compassionate people as part of our team at Woodley Grange.
