Two Hampshire farms recently held open days arranged by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) who work with farmers, the food industry, scientists and consumers.
New House Farm in Alresford and South Stoke Farm in Kings Worthy welcomed hundreds of visitors who were all keen to learn more about farming and to meet the farmers and livestock.
Jon and Nicki Proctor welcomed more than 200 people to South Stoke Farm.
They managed to raise more than £300 for RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution) from the donations for the tea coffee and cakes.
Both events were attended by Winchester Liberal Democrat candidate Danny Chambers.

He said: "Sustainable food production and environmental protection is of huge public interest right now. As a vet who grew up on a farm, I’m passionate about supporting our farming community and promoting high welfare, locally produced food that also supports and enhances our natural environment.
“I’d encourage anyone with an interest in farming, the environment or food production to attend these open days next year - the farmers were welcoming and the food was amazing.
"I'm determined to represent the farming community in parliament who have been let down by the Conservative government. They've been lucky to have such an inspiring champion in NFU president, Minette Batters, but they also need people with agricultural backgrounds in parliament standing up for them."
