THE Home-Start charity is preparing for its annual fundraiser in July as sponsor Bill Rawles visited charity patron Sally Stewart.

Racing to the charity’s aid in his 1961 classic Austin Healey 3000 Mk 1, Bill delivered his sponsorship pledge to her farm door.

The fundraiser includes a barn dance and hog roast which will be held on Saturday July 1 at Pinglestone Barn, Old Alresford.

“Thankfully we’re not having the dance in my barn,” said Sally “but in a stunning 15th century barn in Old Alresford, kindly loaned for the occasion by Lord and Lady Wakeham".

She also thanked Bill Rawles Classic Cars for their continued support. “We run a family business,” said Bill “so we understand the importance of supporting each other and completely understand the ethos of Home-Start giving young families the best possible start in life”.

Home-Start are a charity which deals with a diverse range of complex issues including mental health, domestic violence and disabilities.

Tickets are available from https://homestartbarndance.eventbrite.co.uk for £30 or email Chrissie.barlow@home-startwinchester.org.uk.

The Craigievar Ceilidh Band will be supplying the music and guests can also enjoy a hog roast supplied by a locally sourced butcher.
