After its successful return post-Covid in 2022, the traditional St Cross Fete returns later this month.
First held in 1868, until the pandemic, the Fete had only ever been interrupted by World War I and World War II.
It will again be held in the grounds of the medieval Hospital of Saint Cross on Saturday June 24.
Entertainment will be provided by the Winchester Morris Men, 1st Chandlers Ford Boys’ Brigade Band, Ukulele Band and Punch and Judy.
All the other traditional attractions have returned including stalls, a funfair, train rides, teas, home-made cakes and ice-cream.
Gill Beck, the Fete secretary, said: "‘The Fete is a wonderful community event, and we are thrilled to be holding it again. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Fete from far and wide".
This year, money is being raised for Winchester Women’s Refuge and the Wildfire Youth Project, a new charity supporting youth workers in schools and churches.
