A THEATRE group will be bringing two short comedies to a village hall stage.
The Somborne Players is performing The Adventurers Club by Damian Woods and Gosforth’s Fete by Alan Ayckbourn at King’s Somborne Village Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, June 20 in addition to a private charity performance on Wednesday, June 21.
Chair Rebecca Rickard said: “The Adventurers Club is a hilarious sketch about four young teenagers and the plans they are making in Mrs Lawrence's laundry room to climb Everest. Gosforth's Fete recounts the drama of a village fete and an unexpected turn of events.

“To date, the two plays have been rehearsing separately since the middle of May. We did our first joint rehearsal last week and it was very funny, in the right tense of the word. It is so important to support local groups and enjoy cheap and fun entertainment at the same time.”
Tickets cost £6 each and are available at ticketsource.co.uk/somborne-players. Food and drink will also be available before the show and during the interval from the gourmet burger truck and village hall bar.
