A 25-year old man who died in a collision on the A272 has been described as “kind, loyal and always funny” by his family.
Paul David Ransom, from Waterlooville, died on May 24 after he was involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle at Langrish. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In an official statement, his family said: “Paul was on his way to work in Liss when the collision happened - a job he loved with White Rose Garages.
“He lived in Waterlooville with his wife, Sophie. They married last November at Southend Barns. Paul and Sophie are expecting their first baby in October and Paul was so excited to be a dad to a little girl.
“He was an active cyclist in his early 20s and enjoyed going to the gym with his friends and for walks on the beach in Southsea.
“Paul was kind, loyal and always funny. He was taken far too soon and his family are very grateful for the love that has been sent their way. They would also like to express huge gratitude to the many people who helped at the scene.”
Police are continuing to investigate the incident. A police spokesperson said: “This collision remains under investigation so if anyone has any information or dash cam footage that has not been provided to the police yet please call 101 quoting reference 44230204692.”
