There are certain subjects that are guaranteed to capture the imagination of little kids whenever and wherever they are displayed.
Anyone who has spent time around kids aged three to 10 will testify, one of these fail-safe subjects is dinosaurs.
Along with cars, planes, tractors and Hey Duggee - dinosaurs are big business.
And on Saturday, scores of families, all accompanied by little people, most wearing dinosaur-emblazoned clothing, made their way to the first of four showings of Dinosaur Adventure Live at the Theatre Royale in Winchester.
The show follows two dinosaur adventurers - rangers on a dinosaur island - and sees enormous dinosaurs come onto the stage.

We meet an Apatosaurus, baby Triceratops and a Velociraptor - and of course, no dinosaur show would be complete without an appearance from the superstar of the dinosaur work, the T-Rex.
The dino puppets look magnificent as they completely fill the Winchester stage - the largest having to shuffle off backwards to avoid turning and demolishing the set.
Lots of facts are given out, along with jokes and enthusiastic explanations, and there are a few audience participation moments to keep the kids' attention.
There are panto moments - such as a typical 'it's behind you scene' - which the little kids lap up. They are on their feet, shouting, trying to warn our two heroes of the impending T-Rex escape.
Huge puppets, escaping dinosaurs and loud sirens could potentially be quite scary for a younger crowd, however, the mix of good-natured fun and a gentle storyline with a happy ending keep it on track so nobody leaves terrified.
The show is ideal for primary-school-aged kids. My six-year-old son sat captivated throughout and left yabbering about dinosaurs, facts which are sure to be regurgitated to anyone who will listen.
My three-year-old daughter also enjoyed the show, persuaded at times with snacks to sit still.
The show was a nice way to spend time as a family, and it was great that it proved educational as well as entertaining.
This is definitely a must-see for any dino fans.
Dinosaur Adventure Live is at the Theatre Royale in Winchester on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, with shows at 11am and 2pm.
