WINCHESTER Poetry Festival is recruiting trustees ahead of its fifth biennial festival.
A decade after the organisation was founded, the festival behind Winchester Poetry Prize is looking to maintain its success and sustainability by finding new trustees with the experience, skill, and commitment to help the event move forward.
Anyone with a passion for poetry, who feels they can make a creative and strategic contribution to the board of trustees is urged to apply.
Trustees are volunteers who support Winchester Poetry Festival as a round table for poetry where everyone is welcome.
As well as the biennial festival and annual poetry prize, the charity organises one-off events and partners with other groups to work with the wider community, including schools.

The board of trustees is aiming to build the festival’s reputation, foster new partnerships, maintain a robust financial operation and broaden its audience base.
Chair of Winchester Poetry Festival, Jane Bryant, said, “Winchester Poetry Festival is here to share, showcase, celebrate and champion great poetry. We believe in its power to bring everyone together and make a positive, enriching difference to our lives and the society we live in.”
Applicants are urged to express their interest by Friday, June 30.
