A WINCHESTER woman who repeatedly snubbed a council order to turn down her music has been hit with a heavy fine.
Sophie Stott, of The Valley, Stanmore, played loud music between September 16 last year and January 9 this year, a court heard.
Neighbours complained to the city council but Stott ignored the requests to turn the music down.

She had been served with a noise abatement notice by Winchester City Council. The court heard that she admitted the charge of failing to comply with the order.
Stott was not present in court to hear District Judge Stephen Apted impose a £200 fine with an £80 victim surcharge and costs of £100. The money totalling £380 will be deducted from her benefits.
