IT's still there. After nearly two months an abandoned car has yet to be removed.
That is despite the council fixing a removal notice last month on the blue 55-reg Fiat Panda.
So far the Fiat has received dozens of fixed penalty notices from council wardens, potentially costing the owner hundreds of pounds.
But today a council spokeswoman said the vehicle was due to be removed this week.
The council spokeswoman said: "We’ve been following our abandoned vehicle process for this car. The final notice was given on 3 May, so we will be arranging removal of the car this week if it is not removed by the owner before then. "
An internet search reveals the vehicle has been untaxed since March 2 and its MOT ran out on March 6.

Inside the windscreen is the same handwritten notice: 'Broken down. Will be back to recover'.
Last month a city council spokesman said: "The warning notice is an Abandoned Vehicle notice, which means it’ll now go through the abandoned vehicle process which is outlined on our website.
"If the owner does not remove the vehicle, our contractor will tow the vehicle and keep it in storage for a short period of time. Once the vehicle has been removed the Council will write to the registered keeper again to give them a last chance to claim the vehicle and to pay any charges incurred."
The city council was unavailable for comment today as it is a bank holiday.
