HUNDREDS of residents attended a special Coronation service and screening held at Winchester Cathedral.
Among those attending included Winchester MP Steve Brine alongside Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond and Fareham MP Suella Braverman.
The service was specially designed to have many echoes of the last Coronation to be held in Winchester Cathedral, for Edward The Confessor, in 1043.
It included a sermon from The reverend canon professor Vernon White, former canon at Winchester Cathedral.
Speaking afterwards Steve Brine said: "I have never seen our great Cathedral look so wonderful.

"This was a very happy occasion ahead of the big day when we crown our new King, Charles III.
"The order of service was so well put together by Dean Catherine and her team who deserve great credit. Everyone loved the references to, and explanation of, the aspects that would have featured in 1043 and which we will see in the Westminster Abbey service for Charles.
"I think we all enjoyed the reference in the sermon to the important role Winchester has played in the Coronation of our monarchs dating back a thousand years. I'm sure we'd be up for hosting the next one for William."
