A PUBLIC consultation on plans for a former care home is taking place next week.
Churchill Retirement Living is looking for feedback on proposals it is preparing for a purpose-built retirement development at the site of the former Edwina Mountbatten House care home.
The proposed plans will be viewable online from Monday, May 8, with residents asked to submit their views between Monday and Sunday, May 14. The plans and integrated feedback form will both be available to view at consultwithyou.co.uk/churchill/Romsey.
At time of writing, the proposed plans have not been made available to view.

Located on Palmerston Street, the Edwina Mountbatten House care home closed in July due to financial difficulties.
Opened in 1970, the home was operated by the not-for-profit organisation The Countess Mountbatten of Burma Romsey Memorial Trust. The home featured 23 beds supported by 30 full and part-time staff.
The site was purchased by Churchill Retirement Living in January for an undisclosed sum. In a statement released at the time, Churchill Retirement Living said: “Churchill has delivered two highly successful and popular independent retirement living developments in Romsey in the past and we hope our plans for this site will enable it to continue providing much needed housing options for older people in Romsey.”
