HAMPSHIRE residents have been asked for their views on proposed plans aimed at improving how victims of crime can access support. 

Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones, is asking the public to have their say on her plans for a proposed Victims Hub. 

The Victims Hub aims to provide quicker and tailored access for victims to the appropriate local support services, as well as accessing information about their reported crime.

Ms Jones said: “It is completely devastating and life-changing when a person becomes a victim of crime, and I am committed to helping them get the answers they need, and to access the right level of support to ensure they can move forward with their lives.

“Ensuring support for victims is one of the main priorities that I have outlined in my Crime and Police Plan so it’s vital that we get your feedback because your ideas and input will help us shape the services that victims are able to access across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.”

The Victims Hub Survey covers a range of topics, including how safe you feel where you live, trust and confidence in the police, and whether you have been a victim of crime and how you have reported it.
