The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were recently given a donation of more than £6,000 by some former first responders.
Former Lockerley First Responders gave the charity a cheque for £6,716.
The group folded during the Covid pandemic but still had some reserves in the kitty.
Funds were initially raised by Ann Medcalfe by car boots, jumble sales, raffles and local donations.
She said: “Now the group no longer exists we knew that the Air Ambulance was the very best place for our remaining money. It is an amazing charity which is saving lives throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.”

The visitors had a great time, meeting the crew, looking over the helicopter and hearing about their work.
Former Lockerley responder and midwife Barbara Needham said: “I was so impressed by the professionalism and commitment of the doctors and paramedics. They are even equipped to administer anaesthetics, give blood transfusions and life-saving drugs. They do an enormous amount of training to offer the highest possible care - just when it is most needed.”
Each mission the team attend costs on average £3,320 so the visitors were delighted to have done their bit to keep the Air Ambulance flying.
