“I have deactivated my keyless entry on my car – I did a bit research with my sister on how to make it safe, so we’ve been wrapping our keys in foil, we’ve got a Faraday Bag as well.”

When asked if there was any advice she would like to give those in a similar situation, she said: “Just don’t give up hope.

“And if you’re worried it might happen to you then of course follow the steps. If you’ve got keyless entry, deactivate it, and get those blocker pouches and trackers as well.”

Sarah-Marie said that she wanted to thank everyone who had supported her through the experience. She continued: “My sister massively helped. PC Buller, he was massively helpful and kept in contact with me.

“And thank you to everyone who shared and commented on the post to help find my car. I was amazed by the amount of support from the locals and really appreciated it.”
