DRIVERS in Test Valley will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that nine closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A34, from 8pm April 11 to 6am April 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Worthy Down to Sutton Scotney, Lane closures for survey work.

• M271, from 9pm April 15 to 6am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M271 northbound, junction 1, slip road closure for litter clearance.

• M271, from 9pm April 15 to 6am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M271 southbound, junction 1, slip road and lane closures for litter clearance.

• M27, from 8pm October 12 2020 to 6am April 18 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 both directions, junction 4 and M3 both directions, junction 14, Llnk road and lane closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via National Highways network.

• M27, from 8pm October 28 2020 to 6am April 21 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27, junction 4 and M3, junction 14 all directions, link road and lane closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via National Highways network.

• M27, from 8pm July 1 2022 to 6am April 25 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 14 to 12, link road and carriageway closures for M3 concrete barrier scheme, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• A303, from 8pm January 18 to 6am April 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Parkhouse, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing work.

• M3, from 9pm December 9 2020 to 6am May 3 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.

• A34, from midnight, February 1 to 11.59pm December 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal Load - Swansea to Southampton.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A303, from 8pm April 19 to 6am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Thruxton to Parkhouse Corner, Lane and exit slip road closure for Hampshire County Council Council works, diversion via National Highways and local Authority network.

• A303, from 8pm April 24 to 6am April 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
