STAFF and residents at a new Compton care home have enjoyed their Easter with a host of activities.
Shawford Springs residents enjoyed a range of activities, including a cake baking competition, an Easter egg hunt for dogs and their owners in the homes’ garden and making decorations including an Easter egg tree and bunting.
Residents also enjoyed a traditional Easter meal of roast lamb followed by Simnel cake, prepared by head chef Clifford.

General manager Julie House said: “As always, we’ve all been looking forward to Easter. It’s such a lovely time of year – the residents love all the colourful Easter eggs. The Easter Cake Bake off competition and the Easter Egg hunt in our garden proved to be a great hit it’s really been an eggs-cellent few days.”
Marie, a resident at Shawford Springs, said: “It has been so lovely to spend time with our families this Easter, though like every Easter, I think I’ve eaten too much chocolate. It was so wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort. I really enjoyed making the Easter egg tree and decorating Easter biscuits.”
Run by Barchester Healthcare, Shawford Springs provides Dementia, residential and respite care.
