Dutton Gregory appoint new head of Landlord and Tenant team

Gina Peters, who has worked at the firm for more than 21 years, has taken over the position from Robert Bolwell.

A law graduate from Exeter University, Gina has been a solicitor for 27 years, having enjoyed an early career in general civil litigation with south coast law firms. She has built up her specialist knowledge and experience in residential lettings law at Dutton Gregory after joining the firm in 2001, working throughout England and Wales. She became an invested partner in the business in 2017.

Alongside her work at Dutton Gregory, Gina has also written a book, Lettings Law For Property Professionals: Your Questions Answered, which provides a basis and reference for many regularly asked about legal topics. It introduces the HOUSE (Highlight, Optimise, Uncover, Share, and Evaluate) rules to ensure property professionals get the most from their legal questions, both personally and in business. The book has achieved Amazon best seller status and is shortlisted for the 2023 Business Book Awards.

Gina is taking over the position from Robert Bolwell, who is stepping down into a consultant position after almost 40 years at the firm. The founder of the Landlord and Tenant department, Robert joined the firm in 1983. During his time at Dutton Gregory he appeared on numerous television programmes including Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back and Watchdog.
