A CARNIVAL has picked out its Royal Party representatives for this year’s events.
Judges for Romsey Carnival announced the winners at the Comrades Club on Monday, April 3.
Rather than having carnival kings, queens, princes or princesses the events team decided to have a more inclusive lineup of a Royal Party for anyone who wanted to enter.

Winners were chosen for four age groups, 7-11, 11-18, up to 65 and over 65:
Poppy Thwaites (7-11)
Abbie Little (11-18)
Susan Young (up to 65)
Liz Bailey (over 65)
Treasurer Sylvia Finch said: “It was very difficult for the judges to decide.”
The Royal four will be part of all the Romsey Carnival events this year including the King’s Coronation street party and the Winter Procession and Lantern Parade.
Romsey Carnival is a volunteer-led organisation with the mission of providing entertainment and community activities for Romsey and surrounding areas. All fundraising goes towards Romsey groups and charities.
