A plan to convert a car sales business into a gym has objections from a town council and neighbours.
Mr Taylor submitted the application for the unit at Frobisher Industrial Centre, Budds Lane in Romsey.
The objections are surrounding potential disturbance it could cause to nearby properties.
Romsey Town Council's planning committee met on March 30 and submitted an objection to Test Valley Borough Council.
Cllr Janet Burnage said: “If it's a gym, some are 24/7 so it would have people coming in and out, banging car doors and shouting to each other in the early hours of the morning.”
On the application's planning statement, it said that the plan was for it to be open daily, from 7am-8pm.
Alison and Andrew Porter, of Greatbridge Road, said: “Gymnasiums are noisy places, the application has already stated there will be music, a boxing ring, punch-bag area, and weights area. All these activities will generate a lot of noise. Currently, the buildings around Budds Lane are only occupied during working hours Monday to Friday. The gymnasium will be opened seven days a week, and the application has stated that most of the activity will take place outside of normal working hours – early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

“This will have a significant impact on us, considering the extremely close proximity to our house and garden.
“We strongly object to this application on the grounds of noise and disturbance to our property.”
On the planning statement, it said: “The main reason for the change of use being that the car sales business (established on site since 2016) is not proving to be financially viable. The applicant is passionate about fitness, and is therefore looking to pursue an alternative career operating a gymnasium from the site.
“The development requires no external changes to the building. Internally, space is provided for standard gym equipment, while a boxing ring is also proposed. The applicant does not intend to provide large scale classes, though one on one fitness training will be offered.
“The site will be served by five dedicated parking spaces, with further parking available in the vicinity of the site, including on-street parking on Budds Lane.
“Opening hours are proposed to be 7am-8pm daily.”
