A PUB has received a one out of five food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The George Inn in Middle Wallop, received the rating after it was inspected on February 21, according to the FSA website.
The food safety officer reported that improvement was necessary in hygienic food handling and cleanliness and conditions of facilities and buildings.
Major improvement was found to be necessary in the management of food safety.

The George Inn refused to comment, but told the Chronicle that they have worked to address the issues raised by the inspection and that a re-assessment will take place soon, although a date was not given.
Conducted by the FSA, the inspections give a rating from zero (urgent improvement is required) to five (hygiene standards are very good).
