THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning as strong winds cause disruption across Hampshire.
The warning is in place until 6pm this evening, March 13, covering Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester.
Forecasters have said winds will reach gusts of 43mph in Hampshire at around midday. The strongest gusts will be felt in Basingstoke, where 46mph wind is forecast around 1pm.
It is expected that the wind will die down by the evening, but will still remain high as gusts of around 28mph are forecast from 7pm across the county.

The Met Office said that "strong and gusty southwesterly winds may lead to some disruption, particularly for prone high-sided vehicles."
There may also be some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport. Bus and train services may be affected with some journeys taking longer than normal.
The Basingstoke Canal has been forced to close a number of its car parks lining the popular walk.
On Facebook, they have said "The Canal itself is very tree lined so please take care out on the towpath and the water and avoid if possible during the high winds.
"We are currently unable to put a time frame on these closures, but will post an update when they re-open depending on how the weather progresses."
We are monitoring the situation and will bring more updates throughout the day.
