A WOMEN’S Institute group tried their hands at skittles for their March meeting.
Due to a wedding party in King’s Somborne Village Hall, the Somborne Sisterhood relocated to the Working Men’s Club for a skittles evening as their monthly social.
Twenty-two members took part, with Carol Black explaining the rules and keeping the scores while her grandsons were on ball collection and standing up skittles duties.

Committee member Rebecca Rickard said: “We chatted at tables, enjoyed a glass or two from the bar and quenched our thirst with tea and coffee. We played four games and congratulations must go to Chloe and Dominique who had the highest individual scores. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, which we would love to repeat. Thanks to the club for making us feel so welcome.”
Due to Good Friday falling on the first Friday of the month, the April meeting will take place on Friday, March 31 back at the village hall. The meeting, starting at 8pm, is welcoming a smallholding owner from Horsebridge to talk about what she does.
Non-members are able to attend for a guest fee of £5. For more information follow @sombornesisterhood on Instagram or e-mail sombornesisterhood@gmail.com.
