Winchester’s Sunday roast fans will have to fork out more than usual to fill their gravy boats, as a rise in Bisto prices makes it the latest product to be hit by inflation.
On a hunt to find out how much prices in the city have risen for the popular product, we scoured Sainsbury's, Iceland, Marks and Spencer, Poundland and the Tesco Extra and Express stores to see whose gravy claimed the highest price.
The general markup for the product is currently sitting between £2 to £3 across most stores, with Iceland and Tesco coming in most expensive for a 190g tub at £3.

Sainsbury’s and Poundland currently have the cheapest prices, both charging £2 for 190 grams, and Marks and Spencer lands right in the middle at £2.50.
Tesco Extra in Winnall seems to be the only store to sell a 550g tub of the product, priced at a whopping £5.50.
In comparison, Tesco’s 190g tub of own-brand beef gravy is priced at a humble 80 pence.
