A group of young adults who visit Jacksplace have created a film to raise awareness about the hospice.
Jacksplace users Jamie, Jake, Ebony, Aaron and Josh took part in a filming workshop with local production company, Millstream Productions. They all took turns directing, producing, filming, recording audio, interviewing and starring on camera, with the whole team involved in the initial concept and script writing.
The end result, called ‘Jacksplace TV’, showcases the hospice and gives the young adults a voice. Favourite memories are shared, staff open up about proud moments and the young adults share their experiences at Jacksplace.

Head of Jacksplace Carol Ransome said: “Jacksplace focuses on independence, empowerment and dignity for the young adults who visit the hospice. A project like Jacksplace TV is great because it creates an opportunity for creativity, collaboration and fun.
“It's not every day you get to make your own movie, and I am so proud to see what the young adults at Jacksplace have created.”
The film can be watched on the Naomi House and Jacksplace YouTube channel.
