QWICKHOSE, a family run business based in North Baddesley, has launched its brand-new garden hose connector with an event attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Test Valley.
Born during the lockdown when people’s attention turned to their gardens, Qwickhose was designed to remedy the problem of standard hosepipe connectors popping off during use of an everyday garden hose.

Product designer Jason Wilkinson said: “People were always telling me how frustrating they find using hose connectors with breakable teeth that pop off under pressure causing water leaks – so you end up using your hose with water trickling down your arm. In fact, I recently read a garden forum post from 2005 asking if anyone knew of a better hose connector than typical tooth-based ones. Well, 18 years later, and here it finally is. Sorry for the wait!”
