ROMSEY Abbey is set to host a concert featuring music made famous in a TV advert for Hovis in the 1970s.
The piece is from the New World Symphony by Dvorak and will be performed by the Southampton Concert Orchestra on March 18, at 7.30pm.
Alexander Kelly Concerto Prize winner Madeleine Brown will be the soloist in Grieg's Piano Concerto. This piece is perhaps best known for its part in the famous Morecambe and Wise sketch with Andre Previn. In the sketch, Eric Morecambe attempts to play the concerto, ending with the line: "I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order."

Sibelius's Andante Festivo completes the programme.
Paul Ingram, the orchestra's conductor, said: “The pieces being performed are some of the most popular and recognisable in the repertoire and to hear them played in the beautiful surroundings of Romsey Abbey will make the evening a truly memorable and enjoyable one.”
