PUPILS from a Winchester primary school teamed up with a local private school to gain insight into the world of food, farming and sustainability.

Pupils from Stanmore Primary School headed to Winchester College on Wednesday, February 8 for a day of activities from sustainable food preparation with the college chefs to raising their pulses on the Boat Club ergometers.

The children learned about sourcing locally sustainable foods to achieve a nutritious diet of essential macro and micro-nutrients, while making bread and soup and pedalling on a smoothie bike.
