CATCH the award-winning musical improvisers, The Showstoppers, in their riotous Kids Show this April.
The Showstoppers’ Kids Show takes kids’ ideas and turns them into marvellous, musical adventures from scratch, right away and in front of their very noses.
Audiences will explore magical kingdoms as the kids decide where the story is set, what happens next and who the characters are. They can even join The Showstoppers on stage if they want to!
An important part of the show is that children (and only children) are in charge here – adults will have to take a back seat. Kids get to decide who the heroes are and what happens next in every story. All they need to do is shout out their ideas and The Showstoppers will bring them to life - with music and comedy - right there on the spot.

The group is well-known and renowned for its improvisation work. Most cast members have also received acclaim in their own right. The Showstoppers have been working on Showstopper! The Improvised Musical since 2008, figuring out how to improvise in increasingly esoteric styles, musical, dance, straight theatre, and film genres to name but a few. The show had an eight-week run at London’s Other Palace in early 2019 and play monthly at the Lyric Theatre in London’s West End throughout 2022. In the Autumn of 2015, it became the first long-form improv show to have a full run in the West End at the Apollo Theatre.
The Showstoppers’ Kids Show will be at the Theatre Royal Winchester on Sunday, April 2, starting at 2.30pm.
