THE county’s food group has announced the return of a corporate friend who will be supporting the organisation’s growing goal to promote local produce.

Harvest Fine Foods, a produce supplier which works closely with more than 40 local producers, has renewed its corporate partnership with Hampshire Fare.

The company hopes to show its continued commitment to local producers and build sustainable relationships by backing the team which champions the county’s produce.

The commercial manager of Hampshire Fare, Tracy Nash, said: “It is with huge pleasure that I personally welcome back Harvest as a corporate friend. As Hampshire Fare is a community interest company, Harvest’s support is much valued. I have worked with Harvest since I joined Hampshire Fare ten years ago. We have always enjoyed a strong working relationship. It is a massive positive that their support for Hampshire Fare will continue into the future."

Harvest’s managing director, Steve Whitwam, added: “Here’s to the next 10 years. Following Harvest Fine Food’s recent acquisition by Bidfood, our identity as Harvest Fine Foods has not changed, and our values and ethos remain the same. We are still an independent legal entity as Harvest Fine Foods Limited and will continue to manage our suppliers locally and agree terms locally.

“Harvest is proud to support all our local producers. Our relationship with Hampshire Fare and its members will remain strong and we will continue to maintain and grow our purchasing relationships with local suppliers. Supporting local suppliers and charities is at the heart of who we are, and we will continue to look for new and innovative products that work with our customer base.”
