A TOP-SELLING classical artist will be performing in Winchester Cathedral alongside a special local guest.
The cathedral will play host to an evening with the multi-award-winning tenor Russell Watson on Friday, March 31 as part of the former I’m A Celebrity contestant’s “magnificent buildings concert series”.
The celebrity opera, pop and classical star will be accompanied by a choir, pianist Mike Morgan and a special local guest, yet to be announced.
The show will feature a variety of new and classic songs, together with a selection of hits from Russell’s career.
The singer has sold more than seven million albums and performed for Queen Elizabeth II, the Pope and two US presidents.

A spokesperson for Winchester Cathedral said: “This is set to be a very special evening and an exciting opportunity to welcome four-time Brit Classical Award winner and world-renowned tenor Russell Watson and acclaimed pianist Mike Morgan to the cathedral.”
The nave of the cathedral can seat up to 1,200 but the cathedral is planning a more intimate audience of 700 for the evening.
